[Summit] train whistles?

I now commute from Warwick to Pawtucket (Newport Ave. exit off 95 north)
every day, and there seems to be a lot of repair/construction work on the
tracks. I believe I read in the ProJo recently that Amtrak is replacing
older railroad ties.
