[Summit] Summit Digest - Stealing Tires

Hi all,

It was my husband's car that had the tires stolen. We did report it to the police, who came and took a report (and also gave my daughter a ride to school :) ). The officer said there has been a rash of these thefts recently. Hot cars are Toyota Venza, Honda Fit and Mini Coopers. There is indeed big money in it...$4000 to replace all four tires. And it's been an ordeal. My car was blocked in the driveway and his car couldn't be towed. Luckily the great people at Firestone on North Main came to the house today to put on the new tires.

The police officer said not to be afraid to call them with any unusual activity like kids we don't recognize walking/casing the neighborhood. They also said to make sure to keep outside lights on which is the best deterrent.
