[Summit] good (not mercenary) small-animal veterinarian?

Our cat had multiple dental extractions within his first year of life (long
story), but his vet now says he needs more.  When her group initially
advised us to have him worked on, they weren't doing the procedure.

Now they are.  We're concerned about a potential conflict of interest,
wherein they stand to profit handsomely by performing complex and
potentially risky surgery.  Does anybody have a vet they really trust?  I'd
greatly appreciate the input!

P.S.  Thanks to all who gave suggestions for our boiler--we have heat again,
which is a really good feeling--
