[Summit] mail and alternate side of the street

I am with Karen: car and burglar alarms make my skin crawl.

I regard people or businesses who use alarms *that do not shut off by
themselves after, say, five minutes*, as horrible neighbors.  By the time a
few minutes have passed, the thieves are almost always long gone and the
police or firemen have been called.

And as for complaining about too many cars, IMHO you have standing to
complain if you have fewer cars than average and use them rarely.  Andrew
seems to me to be just plain wrong on this point.
