Hi everyone:
As a member of the SNA board and a volunteer at the egg hunt, I think I can speak for all of us in welcoming comments and suggestions. When anyone has an experience that is unsettling, the comments may seem negative, but are in reality a positive feedback dedicated to making the event better next time. We appreciate the dialogue and absolutely don't want anyone to quit the listserv or retreat from participation in neighborhood interaction. As long as we all remain civil, spirited discussion is good for us all. Keep it coming.

I know the SNA put a lot of time and thought into this event and would probably love to have more parents involved in the organization this event.

Less labor intensive for all and let those of us who are ok with the free for all-aspect have a go at it. Most kids seemed to have a good time, even while some kids were taking eggs from other kids (and were their parents expecting the SNA to step in here?).

If that's the direction the SNA plans to go in, next year we'll be staying home. Particularly if there is any kind of "basket" checking for the "right" eggs. That sounds like the most joyless event possible.
