Hi,
I'm just wondering if anyone has some
ideas on how to go about shopping for
a used car in this neck of the woods.
We had been fortunate for years, by
inheriting family-owned vehicles, then
buying a couple through the family mechanic.
He's pretty much retired now.
I'm concerned about cost - mark-up - if
we go through a dealer (and honesty).
Buying directly is a bit of a gamble,
I'm afraid.
So, is there any way to do this that
has worked for you? We are seeking another
Honda Civic (great cars, great MPG), probably
around a 2003 model.
Note: We do have a new mechanic that we
think is pretty good, and could take a car
there for a check-up - if that's allowed.
(It's in Seekonk).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Blessings,
Liberty G
