[Summit] Crime report

I am in favor of a neighborhood crime report, or alternatively a request for people to file such as they have done, on the List.:  Thieves' modus operandi vary, and precautions also therefore vary.

I offer an example:    Close neighbors away over the weekend, as were many others, found on return that an unlocked back door had been entered, and only the jewelry drawer had been rifled...not bikes, not computers, not tvs, suggesting a more sophisticated older thief than the usual , and not the car theft types either.
Talking to friends, I heard of member in northern section of Summit whose recent burglars took only one ring.    It do suggest, no?  Precautions will vary, of course, but at least we are forewarned.
