[Summit] Cat thieves

Greetings all,

Yes, I did receive a phone call from a man that said he had interrupted a
pizza delivery man from abducting his cat. This call came in response to
one of the flyers for my missing cat, Baby. He said that the pizza
delivery driver had a collection of pets in crates lining the backseat of
his car. I contacted the police and informed them, but the gentleman that
witnessed the event did not want to come forward.

My Baby was strictly an indoor cat that got outside. She was last seen by
a neighbor sitting on my porch around 6/7pm. She had gotten out a few
times and always stayed on the porch waiting to come back in. This time,
she vanished from my porch and has not returned.

Please watch your animals closely. I have received countless phone calls
from people missing their cats in our immediate area. I have also received
calls from people that reported a dogfighting ring in Pawtucket to the
police. My Baby went missing before Memorial Day weekend and many more
went missing before the July 4th. There are just too many pets missing for
it to be solely a natural occurrence (coyotes, roaming off, etc).
Something else is happening and people seem to becoming more brash with
their efforts - exampled by the family on Woodbine who almost had their
cats stolen from their window.

If you care for your animals the way I do, then please watch your children
closely! We are coming up on Labor Day weekend and I'm guessing that more
pets will vanish.

Andriana
