I believe that RI does not have a Stand Your Ground law (and I am thankful for that). Therefore, the exercise of your 2nd amendment rights in such a situation could lead to a charge of manslaughter. I wouldn’t recommend it.
I find it interesting that the descriptions of both this intruder and the one who broke into the house on Boylston were both tall and lanky. We saw a lanky intruder a year ago when we first moved in. I’m wondering if this is coincidence or the same guy who’s perpetrating many of these b&e’s.
