[Summit] Fw: Street Fair and other interesting news from Fox Point

Almost all of the annual and semi-annual general meetings (Fox Point, College Hill, Summit and West Broadway) have proved interesting and worthwhile.
¶  Fox Point’s spring membership meeting is on Wednesday 26 April at 7 p.m. in the Sheldon Street Baptist Church (see below).

¶ The Summit Neighborhood Association will hold its annual general meeting the following Monday, May 1st (details will follow from me later).

¶ In between is the Wickenden Street Art Fair, on Saturday 29 April from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (also see below).

Even when a meeting’s particular topics are local to one specific or remote area, it’s always nice to meet informally with others sharing similar concerns elsewhere. 

It’s often also useful to compare  their own concerns, approaches and experiences (positive and negative) with what’s important, or may become important, closer to your own home. 

For example, dealing with the City, non-profit institutions and city-wide or regional businesses, as well as newcomers and ordinary residents, is something that all of us are always learning how to do better.
