WE'RE OPEN!

Starting Saturday 9/12/20 we’ll be open to browse 10 am-6 pm THURSDAY-SATURDAY!  We’ll start off with 3 days a week while we adjust to reopening and implementing new cleaning measures throughout the store.

We ask you to be patient as we readjust to our new normal, and to be careful and mindful of others when you come in to shop.

You must wear a mask at all times in the stairwell AND in the store.  Stay 6 feet apart at all times, and make sure your mask covers both your nose and mouth.  You should be prepared to have your mask on before even entering the building, as Blake’s Tavern has outdoor dining tables set up on either side of our entrance.  Customers entering and leaving the store may pass each other on the stairs, so masks must be worn even after exiting the store into the stairwell.

Hand sanitizer and gloves will be provided.  We also encourage you to use the sink to wash your hands (but do not encourage the use of our bathroom otherwise - so that our staff doesn’t have to clean the toilet multiple times a day).

We will be cleaning the store thoroughly before open and after close and sanitizing all high contact surfaces throughout the day.  We have installed barriers around the desk and will have signs posted throughout the store.

Occupancy will be limited to 5 customers at a time, so we encourage you to shop alone (send one person with a list!) and try to plan ahead (or ask our staff to help you find something) to keep browsing time to a minimum.  We are also happy to arrange for contact-free pick-up during open hours.
If you are sick, have been around someone who is sick, or have recently had a cough or fever, please stay home.  We love shipping books!

If you are healthy, please come shop!  If business is steady and everyone follows the rules, we’ll be able to extend our hours and get back to a more full-time schedule before long.

A big giant THANK YOU to all of our customers who checked in with us while we were closed, placed orders online, and kept us going these last few months.  We miss you & look forward to seeing you all back in the shop (just not all at the same time)!   |

---We're Keeping You Safe At the Avon Cinema---

Following the CDC and state and local guidelines, we have instituted new procedures to keep everyone safe.

Many seats and rows have been closed to ensure proper spacing between guests. Seats that are available are easily identified with white tape at the top of the seat back. No one will be directly in front of or in back of another person. Two people arriving together may sit together. If someone comes alone, they may not sit next to another person who came alone.

Guests buying tickets will notice tape on the floor at 6 foot intervals leading up to the box office. There are decals on the lobby floor at 6 foot intervals that lead up to the concession stand and the auditorium.

If you are paying with a credit card, our terminal is now accessible to you. Our cashier will prompt you when to insert or remove your card. You may also tear your receipt directly from the credit card machine. You may also pay with cash.

At the end of each show, we clean and sanitize the theatre (including seats, armrests, counters, bathrooms, door handles, hand rails, etc.) before admitting people in for the next show.

Face masks are worn at all times except while you are sitting in the auditorium. Remember to wear your face mask to exit after the show.

We look forward to seeing all of you again!
