On Tuesday, April 6 at 6:00pm, National Grid will host a Virtual Open House (via Zoom) to present our construction plans for this year. We will review the work zones, schedules and impacts to the community during the presentation, after which attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the project team. Registration is required to participate in the event.
City updates:
With warmer weather at our door step
Yard Waste pick-up resumes Monday, April 5
Leaves and all other yard debris must be labeled and placed in paper bags or put out in open barrels clearly labeled "YARD WASTE". Please leave these items out on your trash day. Tree branches must be bundled together and be cut down to less than 4 ft.
Do not dispose of leaf and yard waste in the Big Green Can recycling cart as it contaminates the recycling, resulting in the entire truckload being rejected for recycling.
Plastic bags containing yard waste will not be collected.

Dear David,
Please join us for a community discussion regarding a 5-story approximately 80,000 sq. ft. dormitory on Brook Street.
The discussion will include:
Craig Barton, Brown University Architect
Paul Dietel, Brown University AVP Planning, Design and Construction
Al Dahlberg, Brown University AVP Government and Community Relations
Katie Silberman, Brown University Director of Community Relations
Noah Biklen, Deborah Berke Partners (architect)
Joe Wahler, Stimson Studio (landscape architects)
In February, the Providence Historic District Commission voted unanimously to continue (delay) Brown's application for its new dormitory per the request of neighborhood stakeholders and myself so additional community participation and meaningful engagement could take place.
The preliminary drawings of the design can be found here. As a result of concerns that were raised about these plans, Brown will present revised design plans. Additionally, 30 minutes will be allocated to hear questions, concerns, and feedback from residents. We look forward to your attendance and encourage you to spread the word to interested neighbors.
Date: Thursday, April 8, 2021
Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm EDT
Event Type: Virtual
