| Gained in Translation is a group of top notch musicians whose nine language, genre-hopping musical repertoire will take you from the subtle beauty of bossa-nova to the sheer exuberance of Russian Gypsy music, and everything in between! Come listen and dance to the favorites both familiar (and not so familiar!) by Frank Sinatra, Dionne Warwick, Dean Martin, Jobim, Los Panchos, Aznavour, Piaf and others. Famous songs in French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, German, Yiddish, and Russian are performed seamlessly interwoven with their English versions. Take a virtual trip around the world with the passionate sounds of linguist and singer Victoria Richter (vocals, accordion) and Moe Methot (vocals, rhythm guitar), Chris Brooks (lead guitar), Julie Fischer (bass) and Eric Heisting (percussion) as they explore the ever-expanding world of music and language.
