VIRTUAL MEETING - PVD REDISTRICTING - 2/8Following the completion of the 2020 Census & the State's Redistricting process, the City of Providence is moving forward with redistricting which will have an impact on our current Ward boundaries. Attached is a copy of the current Ward Boundary Map for Providence, of which SPNA's footprint is in both Wards 10 & 11; many long-term residents also remember the outcomes of the 2010 Census & Ward Boundary redistricting in 2011 that impacted Ward 11. In preparation for this upcoming process, SPNA has invited Jessica Cigna, the Chairperson of the Providence Ward Boundaries Committee, to present to our neighbors the city's planned process for redistricting our Wards, along with how residents may participate in this process. Ms. Cigna has accepted SPNA's invitation & will join us for this virtual meeting this Tuesday, February 8th starting at 6pm. Please RSVP to attend this meeting by replying back to this communication or sending a separate email to SPNA's email address (southprovneighbors at gmail.com).
