A guy from Power just rang my front doorbell. Told me he sees we have a broken seal on one of our windows and was ready to sell us new ones. I’m sorry he has to be out in this rain, but I’m glad to have the heads up from this group that company. Thanks.

We immediately cancelled the contract and they sent someone else out to strong-arm us into keeping the contract. We couldn't get him to leave but he finally signed to end the contract. We got another company to do the work at half the price. Lesson learned.

The guy showed up 45 minutes late, spent over two hours at our house, and literally wouldn't leave even as we kept telling him we were not signing anything that day. He just kept pressing us to sign a roofing contract for wildly more than other estimates had come in at. He also tried to get us to do gutters at the same time - again for twice as much as we eventually paid. They then called me repeatedly for months doing the hard sell about the roof and telling us it was in imminent danger of leaking, until I finally told them that there was no chance that I would ever let another person from their company into my house.

>> The team who actually did the work for us, for just over half what Power wanted to charge, was like "Yeah, it needs replacing but ... it can wait for the summer. It's fine." The guy did the estimate in ten minutes, and there was zero pressure. That was The Roofing Doctor - not sure if they do siding or not, but they did our roof in two days and did a fine job.
