 Good afternoon,I’m reaching out to share important information ahead of the major winter storm impacting Providence and to ask for your help in sharing updates with neighbors and community members.Current forecasts call for 12–16 inches of snow in Providence, with localized totals up to 18 inches. Snow is expected to taper to lighter snow and flurries tomorrow evening, but strong wind gusts up to 60 mph may continue throughout the night, which will continue drifting snow and extend cleanup beyond when snowfall ends. The snow is expected to be heavy and wet, power outages remain a significant concern. Report all power outages directly toRI Energy.Governor McKee has declared a state of emergency and issued a statewide travel ban beginning at 7:00PM this evening. Whiteout conditions are expected during the height of the storm. During those periods, towing, plowing, and emergency response may be delayed until conditions are safe. Crews will resume operations as soon as possible.A parking ban is now in effect. Providence Police have been making citywide announcements using PA systems in English and Spanish, and enforcement is underway.Snow parking locations are available to permit holders, and the Convention Center garages are offering a reduced rate of $10. People who do not move their vehicles may be subject to additional enforcement including ticketing and towing. How you can help:   
   - Encourage friends and family to stay off the roads during the height of the storm
   - Ask neighbors to move vehicles immediately off restricted streets
   - Remind residents not to park in school parking lots, which delays reopening
   - Check on seniors and vulnerable neighbors
   - Prepare for potential power outages
