[Summit] Update on tire slashing

This happened on 10th and Top around 9 months ago.  All four tires on 
several vehicles (almost all of them available) were slashed to the point 
of getting towed away for new tires.

I want to say 8 vehicles were involved in that incident.

There were also several break-ins to a pickup truck with a locked top on 
the bed and thousands of dollars in tools stolen.  This happened at least 
twice.  

3 months prior to that someone attempted to break into the 2nd and/or 3rd 
floor apartments in the house I live in, and when attempts to brute-force 
the door failed, they climbed up the decorative metal "whatever the heck 
you call it" and gained entry to a vacant apartment and used that to try 
to break-in to the 3rd floor.

That event happened in the middle of the afternoon.  

I've had my car's windows smashed out twice, an attempt to steal a wheel, 
all with nothing taken.  A third incident involved someone stealing a 
radio from the dash.  The kicker is that they stole a stereo that plays 
minidisc, and I doubt that the idiot that robbed me knows what the heck a 
minidisc even is.

I've lived here for 3 years and have had more encounters with the police 
filing reports and cleaning up after scumbags than 7 years of living in 
Washington DC and Chicago.
