that sounds very 1984. very scary. giving fear center stage in your 
life -- where you are maintaining street camera's in your spare time 
doesn't seem like a good thing to me.

when all is said and done, this is a pretty safe neighborhood. bad 
things happen sometimes, bad things will always happen sometimes, 
that's just the way it is, always has been and always will be. 
technology will not create utopia.

maybe we should focus for a moment on all of the bad things that DON'T 
happen around here... we're pretty lucky.
