[Summit] suggestion for narrowed street parking problems

After recently helping a friend spend 20 minutes getting out of his drive
way because of a car parked opposite- this morning I got an idea--

for the duration of this mess we should put our cell phone numbers (or some
way to reach us) on a folded piece of paper under our windshield wipers.

(& It needs to be written on an index card or similar. with a pencil, or a
pen that won't dissolve the moment it gets wet, undoing it's usefulness.)

That way if someone is really having a problem with your car, they can call,
and you can move it, or get a family member to move it.
Instead of getting a dent.  And I have seen several occasions of dents being
given, as well as driver's mirrors lying in the street.

Most of us have $500 deductibles, at least, but even if our insurance paid
the whole thing, there is NO FREE LUNCH- everyone's rates are already
probably going to go up from the number of spin-into-the-ditches, fender
benders & serious accidents from this storm.

Better we should be more careful about parking opposite driveways, or almost
across from a car parked on the other side of a narrow street, but it
happens for various reasons.
The phone numbers would help.

Even if your neighbor knows it's your car- it doesn't mean someone will hear
your doorbell, or that they will have your cell phone...  and when we visit
someone- who knows what bell to ring???

If your car is locked, I don't see any extra security risk by putting your
cell phone number on it...
