Yes indeed.
The tears are because she is probably far from home, and unless she sells
enough subscriptions, they will not pay her transportation back home, but
leave her high and dry in a strange city. They may also be coming down hard
on her at the end of each day for not selling enough.
There have been several articles about this horror show in the last few
months, one (I think) in the NY Times.
