I thought about that---but there is parking only one side of the
street...This would we be excluded?----Howie

Does anyone know if the City has considered the following, which was used
effectively where I used to live?

Alternate side parking: M, W, F, Su on one side, T, R, Sat on the other.
Move your car to the other side by 8:00am or you get ticketed (or towed
during snow).

This arrangement has three advantages: 1) no junk cars left on the street
for days/weeks/months. 2) Both sides of the street get plowed over 48
hours, and 3) Two cars can still pass (which they can't really do with cars
parked on both sides of (with apologies to Andrew) my street.

Yes, it was sometimes annoying to have to get up at 8am on Sunday to move
the car. And yes, the city would have to put up signs.

Any thoughts about this sort of plan?

Tom
