[Summit] Projo: Brown plans to knock down 7 College Hill buildings for new parking lot

I found it particularly interesting that the properties were acquired in 2014 (with this outcome in mind?). Wasn't there a planning ordinance that demolition in the city could only occur if there was a building that was guaranteed to  be built to avoid the parking lot pock marks in the city? Thayer needs parking but is this the right solution? It would be good to hear the planning department take on this.

It would also be good to have a public forum to discuss planning in our own neighborhood to augment the planning survey which will only reach about 200/ 4500 residents since it was primarily only sent to the SNA listserv for our neighborhood.
