>From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. this Saturday 29 April, RIPTA’s 92 bus will retrace part of its old route through the Thayer Street tunnel, instead of its current one over the Point Street Bridge onto Wickenden Street.
“WAMA” refers to the Wickenden Area Merchants’ Association.

Detour will occur from 11:00am to 7:00pm

| The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 92 (RI College/Federal Hill/East Side) to accommodate the Wickenden Area Merchants Association (WAMA) Makers & Merchants Sidewalk Sale. Route 92 will be detoured beginning at 11:00am until 7:00pm on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Wickenden Street will be closed between Benefit and Brooke Streets during this time.The following detour will be in effect on Saturday, April 29, 2017:Route 92 (RI College/Federal Hill/East Side):
WEST Inbound trips will travel the regular route to Wickenden Street, right onto Hope Street, left onto Angell Street, left onto Thayer Street, right into the East Side Tunnel, right onto North Main Street, left onto Steeple Street, left onto Memorial Boulevard, and then right onto Fulton Street to Bus Stop E.EAST Outbound trips will travel the regular route to Memorial Boulevard, left onto Washington Street, right into the East Side Tunnel, right onto Thayer Street, left onto Waterman Street, right onto Hope Street, left onto Wickenden Street and then resume regular route.For schedule information, please call 781-9400 or visit ripta.com. |
