Thanks!  I would not have thought to check the math.  Mayor did promise to run the city more like a business.  An ever more widespread business strategy!

I have long experience with some customers that routinely pay cents or a dollar short.  If you point it out they are all apologetic but they know you usually will not bother.

I had an ISP charge RI sales tax for years.  The tax administrator confirmed that company did not even have a sales tax account because internet connection was not taxable.  I never paid it but they billed me for the past due balance until they were no more.

And don’t get me started on Verizon.
