I'm not going to beat around the bush: we are behind in immunizations, and we need to catch up. We've seen concerning drops in childhood immunizations, lead screenings and child wellness visits over the last several months. I know that you might be worried about bringing your child to a doctor's office right now. That's why the Rhode Island chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics put together this video about how they've prepared to keep your children safe while giving them the vital care they need:

| You should know that our pediatricians are taking extreme caution – keeping waiting rooms clear, using PPE, conducting infection control, and requiring screenings. These protections are specifically designed to mitigate risk of exposure to the virus. The bigger concern at this point is not going. And if you or your child are currently uninsured, you can reach out to our health insurance exchange, at 1-855-840-4774 to learn more about coverage.  Let's make sure our kids don't fall behind. |
