Frog and ToadA successful collaboration of two form the friendly atmosphere in this unique gift establishment...right here on Hope Street. The owners, Erin and Asher Schofield, followed their dream from newspaper reporter and graphic designer (both with an artistic background) to opening their eye pleasing establishment on the corner of Lauriston Avenue and Hope Street. Up until this past summer they were residents of the Summit neighborhood, but moved on for more space and to start a family. Upon entering this store, a wide array of merchandise blends together in a warm cozy setting. And it is enhanced by the friendliness of the owners and staff. Having a sense for business has proved to be helpful, says Asher, along with understanding their customers needs. Both Erin and Asher are happy to be on Hope Street where there is a steady stream of regulars, lots of traffic, and a sense of community. "A place where people know one another." There is always new merchandise. The owners are also the buyers and go on frequent buying trips, and they also deal with local artists. A small sampling of something you might find on a visit to this store is imported japanese dishware, french luggage, bath and body sets, table linens from India, italian made leather journals and much more. When in the neighborhood, visit this mom and pop store, where you will find it to be very big on friendliness and just the place to find the perfect gift or item for your home - or just to browse. |
